For our final project in the CPMS 100 Colloquium, we were asked to make a video on 1 of 3 possible choices:

CPMS101
In CPMS101, we were given an assignment in which we read a document about the "privacy paradox." The privacy paradox is this paradoxical idea that young adults care highly about privacy, yet they simultaneously give away their personal information on social media. This idea was correlated with concepts we've learned in class about privacy of information on the Internet and how easy it is to find information. After reading the paper, we were expected to write a small paper about the privacy paradox and if we've observed the privacy paradox firsthand in our social media experiences. Below, I have left the link for my privacy paradox paper.
CPMS225
In CPMS225, we were given an assignment to prepare a group presentation for our classmates regarding a topic that we were addressing that week. In the requirements of this assignment, we were supposed to also come up with a mini activity to do with the class, whether it was a set of discussion questions or a class Kahoot to review. The lack of other instructions allowed us to creatively come up with an effective strategy and way to communicate information to our classmates. It also helped teach us how to collaborate with our other groupmates. Our presentation topic was "Do Violent Videogames Make Kids Violent?", a hot topic that has been ongoing in recent years. As we've learned throughout this class, we had to set our own biases and opinions regarding the topic to the side and research for information and other opinions regarding the topic to present to our classmates. Making an effective non-biased presentation is an essential skill which may occur in the workplace, and I'm thankful that this assignment helped me prepare for such a situation.
